FAQ

What is your hourly rate?

My current hourly rate is 175$/hr + GST

What forms of payment do you accept?

I currently accept both cash and etransfer!

What is you deposit policy?

A deposit of 150$ (157.50 with taxes) is required to book a tattoo with me. this amount is deducted from the total price of your tattoo upon completion. Deposits are non refundable and I require 48 hours notice in the case of a reschedule, or I will ask for a new deposit in order to rebook with me.

Can I bring a friend to my appointment?

You can, but there is not a lot of space to accommodate guests in my room. Honestly, tattoo appointments are pretty boring and sometimes it can be hard to keep up a conversation when you’re getting stabbed for hours. If you require a friend for comfort, you are more than welcome to bring one (not your whole family) but in my experience some headphones, a movie, or gaming during your appointment will be much more relaxing for you

Do you allow clients to use numbing cream

Yes, I do not have any personal experience using it on myself- but I have had clients use it to varying degrees of efficacy. Please bear in mind that tattoos are still painful and numbing cream is not magic- especially when not properly applied, and even with pristine application it can wear off anywhere from 1-2 hours into the appointment. If you intend on using it, I would also recommend testing it on your skin prior to the appointment ( following the directions of application) to ensure you don’t have a reaction to it.

How should I prepare for my appointment?

Getting a tattoo takes a lot of energy. Be sure to have a good nights rest, and a good meal prior to you appointment. Do not drink the night before or take any blood thinners (i.e. advil). Bring comfort items and snacks to your appointments! My personal go-to’s are juice, a pillow, a sweater, my switch and a stuffed animal :). Also, don’t be afraid to ask if you need anything at all during your appointment.

Can I see my design before the appointment?

Yes, sort of! please refer to the following question in regards to design fees.

What are Design fees?

At your consult I will ask you for a design fee of 20-80$ depending on the size and complexity of your custom piece. I do this so we both have some control over the design process and you end up with the tattoo you were envisioning. the design fee not only covers the 4-12+ hours I spend at home drawing, but will also cover any small tweaks you may want done to your design- as I do send out rough sketches for approval 48-72 hours prior to the appointment. In cases where you have decided to completely rework the placement or concept, I may require a new design fee, a reschedule or I may back away from the piece if the new concept is something I don’t feel I can execute well.

Why did you not respond to my inquiry?

I do my best to respond to everyone and will try to at least provide you with a recommendation for another artist if I cannot accommodate your request- or feel that I am not suited to execute your idea. I am only one person and sometimes emails can get overwhelming. I prioritize concepts that are in line with my style and preferred subject matter. If you don’t get in, this doesn’t mean your idea was bad! Unfortunately due to my workload I just can’t possibly take on every request that gets thrown at me - you can always try again when my books reopen!

What is your policy on touchups?

Touchups are free within the first 6 months of you getting the tattoo- provided you follow the aftercare I have given you. You do not need to book the touch up within those 6 months, as my schedule can be kind of hectic- just be sure to get ahold of me within the 6 month period.
